The book launch of SUCKING UP YELLOW JACKETS at the Doylestown Bookshop was great. The staff of the bookshop set up a well positioned table complete with tablecloth and lots of space for people to move about and talk. Krisy Paredes and Shilough Hopwood organized everything and Rachel Tafoya did a good job selling books and keeping track of numbers. Caitlin and I tried to do this but were having a good time and missed how many books I autographed. Caitlin Doherty, my first grandchild, took excellent pictures which are on Facebook and will be on this site shortly. It was like a very good party. I was surrounded by family, friends and the Rebel Writers, my writing group who suggested the memoir in the first place and gave me valuable critiques all through the writing process. They brought a cake with the picture of my book cover imprinted on top. I was impressed. Marie Lamba found the bakery who did this. The cake went fast.
