I’ve joined the electronic book crowd.

January 24th, 2011

Last Saturday I entered the e-book era full tilt. SUCKING UP YELLOW JACKETS is now available as a Trade paperback and/or an e-book. I have a Kindle, bought the e-book and read the first third of the memoir word by word then skimmed to the end, stopping at intervals and reading the page. It looks great. The typography is crisp and easily readable and it was well formatted. My hat’s off to the o-books staff. They did a great job. Now I’m knee deep in mailing and emailing to all the Asperger Society of America chapters. There are 156 of them in this country, more all over the rest of the world. I wish I had learned to touch type in my youth. I went to a small country high school. The teachers were top notch, but in that school, it was assumed you either went to college and thus had to learn Latin or you would become a stenographer so had to know how to type. So the two subjects were only offered in the same time period. How things have changed. By the time my kids were in school, you had to be proficient in touch typing to graduate from eighth grade.
